.“We’d suggest that the best way to fully experience the tremendous amount of flavours created in this kitchen is to order a number of small dishes and share them with your dining partners. There’s a whole section dedicated to the smaller meals that could make up a great combination of dishes for you to share”. (mX – Nosh)

“There may be a chain of these restaurants in Australia, but nothing has been lost in terms of quality of food, service or ambiance. Mecca Bah serves Middle Eastern food in modern, comfortable surroundings.” (Courier Mail)

.

“The hip and happening set flock to this Moroccan/Middle Eastern eatery in the smart Emporium complex but it’s good to see the family market has also taken to it.” (Qantas magazine)

“Mecca Bah provides a modern take on the Middle Eastern style of dining and is designed as an oasis away from the hustle of the city. Encouraging sharing, a majority of dishes are small and cheap, inviting diners to choose a variety and try a bit of everything. The exotic flavours are sumptuous and well-executed by the infallible kitchen staff, with a wide range of options for people with special dietary requirements. The mezze plates, similar to antipasto platters, are served in hand-made serving dishes from Tunisia and provide a contemporary take on traditional dishes plates, such as the Turkish kofte with yoghurt and mint sauce, and kataifi pastries filled with Middle Eastern cheeses.”

“A large alfresco dining area is inviting, with a tucked away lounge featuring wrought iron garden chairs and long, cushioned benches for those waiting for a table or winding down after a meal. Inside Mecca Bah, the warm colours and patterns on the wallpaper and soft fabrics of plush cushions draw people in to enjoy the ambience. The Turkish pizzas are wood-fire oven baked – and divine. A wide array of tagine options come served with cous cous, all featuring authentic Moroccan ingredients. To finish the meal, there is Middle-Eastern halva ice-cream, Lebanese lady fingers and gently perfumed Turkish delight. Mecca Bah does not accept bookings but the restaurant is able to seat large tables fairly speedily, and table service once seated hits the nail on the head.” (Profiled By De Groots Media)

Wow

I eat at Mecca Bah regularly for lunch & dinner, with work colleagues, my partner, extended family & friends and for special occasions and I keep going back for more as it is a consistently good dining experience.

Arguably one of the busiest restaurants in Brisbane (justifiably) with a relaxed atmosphere, excellent food, friendly & efficient service and exceptional value for money.

Go early to avoid the line-up as they don’t take bookings and are normally full for dinner any given night of the week. Not too much of a rush for lunch.

Loved It!

I had a most enjoyable meal at Mecca Bah on Tuesday. The food was fantastic, as always, and the service was quick and friendly, despite the restaurant being VERY busy. I’ll definitely be back. The pizzas, in particular, are awesome!

Great food and great location. Have tried the main meals but keep returning to the Mezze menu which has a range of delicious bits and pieces such as dips, bastilla, spicy lamb and pine nut Boureks, Lebanese sausages and spicy chickpeas, beetroot, rocket and yoghurt salad, Tunisian carrot salad, kofte and sweet potato felafels and on it goes.

It’s all good and the service is pretty good, if you want more it arrives quite quickly. Wines are limited by the glass but overall you can have a lovely lunch in the outside courtyard space.

One of the best places you want to go enjoy your time and meal, the quality and service is beyond description, it is the best place you can invite your guests to or take your family for a nice quiet and high quality food service.

Have eaten here often with our family. The varied menu means that our kids can have a little bit of something or more if they are hungry (in the case of our 15 year-old). Lots of tasty items and interesting combinations. We love it! Have also dined here with a group of friends and had a great night. Service has always been fine for us.

I’ve been going to Mecca for years! I absolutely love the cheese balls and the swordfish kebab. I’m yet to find a restaurant in Brisbane that can be as consistent as Mecca. The staff are great, the food is amazing and best of all, it doesn’t break the bank.

A friend recommended Mecca Bah to me, when I saw the menu I thought the food sounded a bit strange but after tasting it… Amazing!

Good cocktails too! Yum.
