Banquet style eating is a very common culinary tradition in Middle Eastern countries. This refers to the practice of a large group of people sitting around a table or eating area, sharing many different dishes.
At Mecca Bah we offer a Banquet style meal option for parties of four or more. There are two banquet options available for our guests to choose from.
Our Four Course banquet includes:
- Warm Turkish bread with a trio of our homemade dips; baba ganoush, labna and hummus.
- The second course is made up of our signature mezze dishes: spicy lamb and pine nut boureks, sweet potato falafels and kataifi pastries filled with Middle Eastern cheeses.
- The main course consists of a succulent garlic chicken kebab with mjaddarah and tabbouleh, Moroccan spiced calamari with a Turkish bean salad, spit roasted lamb, rocket, yoghurt and sumac pizza, harissa spiced tomato, eggplant, parsley and haloumi pizza and a beetroot, rocket and yoghurt salad.
- Your banquet will then be finished with a delicious dessert of Turkish Delight and Lebanese Ladies Fingers.
The second banquet option is our two course banquet. This consists of the Mezze plates and main courses mentioned above. It does not include bread or dessert.
We suggest banquets for groups of ten or more as it is an excellent way for our guests to taste a range of our dishes, and is an easy way for everyone to enjoy the food, share with friends and really make the most of your Mecca Bah experience.

For quite a few years Mecca Bah has been supporting Dinesmart.
In fact our big brother, Mecca Bah Brisbane, has steadily been the largest contributor to the cause in Australia, every year raising to the tune of $10 000.
We on he Gold Coast would like to stay not far behind, if not ahead, and are asking you, our faithful customers to support one of the handful charities which give 100% of collections to those that need it most.
For the six weeks in lead up to Christmas we will be asking all our patrons to make a small donation to the charity on their bill. What is not even a price of a bottle of water or a coffee can add up to a very sizeable contribution in time for Christmas. We will match your donations with the money collected by staff and management, and all of it will be distributed to the charity recipients.
There is over 100 000 homeless in Australia with two out of three sleeping on the street. We can and will help them, we owe it to the society we live in so next time you pay us a visit, please give generously to a very worthy cause.

Mecca Bah Gold Coast is once again hosting the event to remember.
Melbourne Cup is almost upon us and we have come up with an exciting new menu that beautifully complements the energy of Melbourne Cup celebrations.
The four course banquet is accompanied by the handpicked beverage package and full bar service is available to those still standing at the end of the luncheon.
This year celebrations will be in full flight all through the Oracle precinct with the street becoming the heart of the party. Entertainment, live broadcast from Sea FM, Fashions on the Field is just a small portion of what’s planned for the day at the Oracle with Mecca Bah being the heart of it.

Another lovely and very much appreciated feedback:
My friends and i had lunch with you on Saturday, to celebrate my friends birthday.
I can not express how impressed i have been.
Your food was delicious, well priced and generously portioned.
We were served by a delightful female staff member ( Idon’t know her name – but she had tattos running up her inner arm). She was kind, friendly and welcoming.
I have been so impressed i have told EVERYONE i have seen since about you.
I had to drive down from the Sunshine coast fro the lunch, and was totally delighed I did.
I am looking forward to driving back there soon for another tasty and enjoyable meal.
Thanks Leza, we are looking forward seeing more of you soon.
